EMV screening covers for pcb were developed to shield only a part or parts of electronic equipment from electromagnetic radiation, rather than the entire housing. Battery packs, for instance, do not always need shielding. EMV screening covers are available in a wide range, both flexible and rigid.
Clip-on System 1500
This system combines small clip-on pins with a removable lid and results in high shielding protection.. Benefits: less space on the board, flexible pin positions making the clip-on system 1500 an excellent solution for series of 1 - 5,000 pieces.
For heavy duty applications the lid can also be fixed by extra soldering between the lid and some of the pins.
Standard through-hole clips with a tinned pin, can be soldered into the pcb at any available place around the cover (pin size 0.6 mm , so drill to 0.8 mm). The minimum height on top of the board is 3 mm.
Mu-copper housing, will fit in the clips even with a good tolerance of 0.6 mm.
The minimum height of the cover is 3 mm, the maximum 20 mm. We advise fixing clip-on pins at least every 20 mm .We can produce any size with and without ventilation holes in 2 working days.
Benefit: thanks to the big clamping range, much less accurate positioning is needed.

Fixed 1600 Series
A small framework or fence can be manufactured by our CNC production system, including pins in any desired size. Tooling costs are relatively low, and so this system is well suitable for series of 100 -100.000 pieces so please send your drawing.
Options: Several thicknesses, with or without electrical insulation and/or (conductive) self-adhesive. Also available in a flame retardant version.
Drawn Board Level Shields 1700
Especially designed for seamless corners for ultra high frequency shielding.
Available in heights of 0.5 - 8 mm and sizes of 6 - 80 mm.
Available in copper and silver-nickel.
Elastomers can be combined with the drawn board shield as well as ventilation holes for solder out gassing.
PCB/Compartment Shield 1800
An other application is a highly conductive foil laminated with a high deflection, low closure force foam layer. The rigidity of the housing is used to shield the separations on the PCB. Combinations with conductive fabrics or non-woven are also available.
