The cable wrapping should be grounded. On one or at both ends of the cables can be find in practice. Cable wrappings are supplied in continuous lengths, on a reel or cut in lengths.
1. Flat cables: Reinforced Amucor foil4701 - 4702
This material gives a high shielding performance for cable wrapping. It is used for cables with large diameters and flat cables. It comes provided with self-adhesive backing but is also available without self-adhesive.
Reinforced amucor foil 4701
Reinforced amucor foil + adhesive 4702
Standard widths: 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 26, 32, 50 or 100mm
For applications where very high flexibility is required, like cables with small diameters. The highly conductive fabric guarantees superb shielding performance. Also available in conductive non-woven and with self-adhesive.
Conductive Fabric 4711
Conductive Fabric with self adhesive 4712
Conductive Fabric with conductive self adhesive 4713
Conductive non-woven 4721

3. Heavy duty, low frequency: Wrapshield 4730 - 4760
Cable wrapping is used to shield cables or to harness even bundles of cables. Wrapshield is made as a tube so: two layers of knitted wire mesh, with a nominal thickness of 0.4 mm . It is available in 5 standard widths: 12, 25, 50, 100 and 150 mm . 50 mm is the most common. With an overlap of 50% this results in even 4 layers of metal. It can be supplied in four wire materials:
Wrapshield Monel 4730
Wrapshield tinned copper/steel (T.C.S.) 4740
Wrapshield stainless steel 4750
Wrapshield aluminium 4760
Standard Widths: 12, 25, 50, 100 or 150mm

4. Flexible Shielding Tube 4800 ?
This material is a ready-to-use mu-copper or tinned mu-copper tube through which a cable or bundle of cables can be pulled. If the tube is compressed lengthwise, the diameter expands to simplify the assembly. Therefore a wide range of cable diameters can be shielded with a single tube.
Please note that the tube has to be expanded for larger diameters and that a larger nominal length will then be required (up to twice the length of the cable).
